Data Deletion Options

Important: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have downloaded any data you wish to keep before proceeding.

Option 1: Self-Service Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly through your account settings:

  1. Log in to your Local collab account
  2. Navigate to your profile settings
  3. Scroll to the "Account Management" section
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Follow the confirmation prompts
  6. Verify your identity via email or SMS
  7. Confirm the permanent deletion

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:

Include: Your full name, email address, and phone number associated with your account

What Data Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Profile Information: Name, email, phone number, bio, profile picture
  • Account Data: Login credentials, preferences, settings
  • Social Media Connections: Connected accounts and associated tokens
  • Communication Data: Messages, campaign applications, offers
  • Portfolio Content: Uploaded images, videos, and work samples
  • Analytics Data: Performance metrics and engagement statistics
  • Payment Information: Stripe Connect account links (payment history may be retained for legal compliance)

Data Retention for Legal Compliance

Some data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or security purposes, including:

  • Transaction Records: Financial records retained for up to 7 years as required by law
  • Dispute Resolution: Communication records related to ongoing disputes
  • Fraud Prevention: Data necessary to prevent fraud and abuse
  • Legal Obligations: Information required by court orders or regulatory requirements

This retained data is anonymized where possible and is not used for marketing or operational purposes.

Processing Timeline

Self-Service Deletion: Immediate processing with 30-day grace period for account recovery

Email Requests: Processed within 30 days of verification

Grace Period

For self-service deletions, we provide a 30-day grace period during which:

  • Your account is deactivated but data is not permanently deleted
  • You can contact support to reactivate your account
  • After 30 days, deletion becomes permanent and irreversible

Before You Delete

Before requesting deletion, consider the following:

  • Download Your Data: Export your portfolio, messages, and analytics
  • Complete Active Campaigns: Finish ongoing collaborations to avoid disputes
  • Withdraw Funds: Ensure all payments have been processed and withdrawn
  • Disconnect Social Media: Manually revoke access through your social media settings
  • Alternative Options: Consider deactivating your account temporarily instead

Your data will be provided in a machine-readable format (JSON/CSV) and may include multiple files depending on the amount of data.
