Local collab is a platform that facilitates collaborations between local businesses and content creators. Our services include:
- Discovery Platform: Location-based search and matching system
- Campaign Management: Tools for creating, managing, and tracking collaboration campaigns
- Offer System: Structured workflow from offer creation to completion
- Secure Messaging: Real-time communication between users
- Payment Processing: Escrow payment system with secure transactions
- Content Delivery: File sharing and proof-of-work submission system
- Analytics: Performance tracking and engagement metrics
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use our service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You may register as either:
- Brand: Local businesses seeking content creators
- Creator: Content creators offering services to brands
3.2 Account Verification
We use Twilio Verify for phone number and email verification. You agree to:
- Provide accurate contact information
- Complete the verification process
- Maintain updated profile information
- Connect legitimate social media accounts (for creators)
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree to:
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. User Responsibilities and Conduct
4.1 General Conduct
All users agree to:
- Use the service for lawful purposes only
- Respect other users and maintain professional communication
- Provide accurate information in profiles and communications
- Honor agreements and commitments made through the platform
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4.2 Brand Responsibilities
Brands using our platform agree to:
- Provide clear campaign briefs and expectations
- Make payments according to agreed terms
- Provide timely feedback on deliverables
- Respect creator intellectual property rights
- Use content only as specified in agreements
4.3 Creator Responsibilities
Creators using our platform agree to:
- Deliver work as promised and within agreed timelines
- Create original, high-quality content
- Disclose sponsored content according to FTC guidelines
- Maintain connected social media accounts in good standing
- Provide accurate follower counts and engagement metrics
4.4 Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Create fake accounts or provide false information
- Manipulate follower counts or engagement metrics
- Circumvent the platform to conduct transactions off-platform
- Harass, intimidate, or discriminate against other users
- Upload malicious content or attempt to hack the platform
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
5. Campaign and Offer System
5.1 Campaign Types
Our platform supports various campaign types with standard pricing:
- Instagram Story (24h): $50
- Instagram Post: $75
- Instagram Reel: $150
- UGC Video: $100
- Blog Post: $100
- Full Campaign Package: $350
- Custom Campaigns: Negotiated pricing
5.2 Offer Workflow
All collaborations follow a structured workflow:
- Draft: Brand creates offer with campaign details
- Sent: Offer sent to creator (48-hour expiration)
- Accepted/Declined: Creator responds to offer
- Funded: Brand funds escrow payment
- Delivered: Creator submits completed work
- Completed: Brand approves deliverables
- Paid: Payment released to creator
5.3 Offer Expiration and Cancellation
Offers automatically expire after 48 hours if not accepted. Either party may cancel before work begins, subject to our cancellation policy.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Platform Fees
Local collab charges a 15% platform commission on all completed transactions. This fee covers:
- Secure escrow payment processing
- Dispute resolution services
- Platform maintenance and support
- Payment processing fees
6.2 Payment Processing
We use Stripe for payment processing. By using our platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Payment flow:
- Brand funds offer → money held in escrow
- Creator completes work → brand reviews and approves
- Payment released to creator (minus platform fee)
- Creators must set up Stripe Connect accounts for payouts
6.3 Refunds and Disputes
In case of disputes:
- Funds remain in escrow until resolution
- We provide mediation services
- Refunds issued for undelivered or significantly substandard work
- Platform fees are non-refundable for completed transactions
6.4 Premium Features
Optional paid upgrades available:
- Featured profile placement: $29/month
- Advanced analytics: $19/month
- Priority support: $15/month
- Custom branding: $49/month
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Content Ownership
Creators retain ownership of their original content, but grant brands usage rights as specified in individual agreements. Default usage terms include:
- Brand may use content for marketing purposes
- Usage rights typically last 1 year unless otherwise specified
- Creator retains right to use content in their portfolio
- Extended usage rights available for additional compensation
7.2 Platform Content
Users grant Local collab a non-exclusive license to display their content on our platform for operational purposes, including:
- Profile display and discovery features
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Platform improvement and analytics
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Integrations
Our platform integrates with third-party services to provide enhanced functionality:

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

We do not control or endorse user-generated content. Users are responsible for their own content and interactions.
10.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCAL COLLAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
11. Account Termination
